Peugeot RCZ Coupe of the Year
Annually at this time of the year car dealers, manufacturers and customers look out for the Top Gear magazine’s annual wards. The Top Gear magazine is the best selling automotive magazine in the UK, along with its TV programme it is highly regarded in the automotive industry.
It’s been a good month for Peugeot, it was only a handful of manufacturers that reported an increase in car sales for November, now it can also boast that its Peugeot RCZ has won Top Gear’s “Coupe of the Year 2010” award.
Top Gear, its writers as well as presenters are known for testing cars in extreme conditions and unusual environments. The RCZ was road tested in China, around the Great Wall of China; it was the first time the RCZ had been to the world’s largest car market.
Top Gear wrote, “The Peugeot RCZ is a beautifully balanced car, easy to drive quickly. Low and wide, it always feels completely on your side, gripping hard, resorting to understeer only at the limit. The Peugeot RCZ is positioned as a small, sophisticated GT, and fills it perfectly.”
Peugeot launched the RCZ in 2010 and has been a great hit; over 2,000 units have already been sold here in the UK. It is priced at around the £20k mark, offering excellent value for money as well as style and charisma. Along with its 200bhp or 156bhp petrol engine the RCZ is available with the highly impressive 163bhp diesel engine, making it even better value for money!
A car dealer selling used cars in Midlands has told us that they are finding it very difficult to get hold of any used RCZs, due to its hit with customers many are holding on to them for longer than originally anticipated. When they do become available in the used car market they are predicted to hold their value very well
